Notes: This song was written in 2003 and I tried to record it in 2007, but there were too many things keeping me from doing so at the time, which included being homeless briefly after the passing of both my father and my favorite uncle, within one week of each other. That series of events was topped off with learning that Carol had gone into a coma and the student loans began garnishing my paychecks, which lead to me being homeless for a few days.
Once more, after Carol came out of her coma and began the long road down her rehab, she would tell me in 2011 how she loved the lyrics and she wanted to hear them with music. I recorded it in the beginning of 2011 and she loved it.
After a suggestion from a friend (Jak Delany), I have re-recorded and remixed once more in 2012.
With that said and now that I am working with VSTs, I have re-recorded once more at the end of 2014. Here are the lyrics:
