Title: Savoy Truffle 112614
Original Band or Composer: The Beatles - George Harrison
Notes: This song is from the White Album and it is one of my top ten favorite Beatles' songs. It's hard to have a favorite with those guys.
I had to re-record this one because this uses the Jazz ensemble Horns (Kontakt) and my first time using Toontracks's EZ Keys, which have that great Fender Rhodes sound. The Bass via Kontakt's SCARBEE RICKENBACKER, Toontrack's EZ Drummer v2, along with my guitar going through the Digitech RP500
All though the tone libraries did sound like George's rhythm guitar from the "Let it be" sessions, my 1997 Alexis mixing board was freaking out and it would boost the sound at the oddest times for the recording of the lead guitar.
As you may or may not realize, my getting laid off last Thursday, places me in a position where I just cannot go out and purchase a mixer from this century. It's funny how I spent so much money buying all this stuff and fixing my car, when I could really use it now that the Unemployment office has informed me, that my working contract all these years, has left me with not enough to qualify for benefits and what can I say, recording this stuff makes me feel alive. Too bad I never made a living at it.
